Starting Marketing with Social Media
Build awareness for your training brand!
Hey Teachers, Coaches, and Experts!
You know that moment when you promise yourself you’ll finally start posting on social media… and then weeks or months later, you’re still “thinking about ideas”? Yeah, we’ve seen other teachers in the same situation.
The trick isn’t about being super creative on the spot; it’s about having a system that helps you capture ideas, make time for content, and actually hit publish.
Here are some tips to get started:
Log every idea before it disappears
Keep a doc, spreadsheet, or slide deck just for content ideas. Whenever you get a spark, during a meeting, walk, or even mid-scroll, drop it there. Don’t judge it, just save it. Later, when it's time to create content, you will have a bunch of solid ideas in your backlog.Block a time for content creation
Block a recurring slot on your calendar, for example, on Wednesdays at 10 a.m., where you sit down and turn one of those ideas into an actual post. Start by creating a list of points or section headings, then turn those lines into paragraphs. Treat it like an important meeting. You can always reschedule it, but don’t delete it every week.Create a publishing routine
At first, you’ll probably create something small and post it in the same sitting. That’s fine! As you get more comfortable and go bigger, you might separate the writing session from the publishing session, especially if you post to a few different socials.Check your social networks
Set up some time on your calendar to review your socials. Reply to comments, check DMs, and notice who’s engaging. These could be potential students that may need more information about your services. In the future, you could use tools to automate, but in the beginning, check it manually and look around to review your socials.
These tips will help you go from no content plan to a steady, simple rhythm. Start light. Maybe it’s weekly. Maybe every other week. What matters most is building the habit — one post, one week at a time.
You got this!,
